The event, entitled ‘Sustainability: The Building & Beyond’, took place on the morning of the 9th October at Pretoria’s Atterbury Theatre and provided architects with a range of valuable insights into green building issues.
Flowcrete South Africa came together with applicators Seal Con Systems at the NSRI site in KwaZulu-Natal to create a new floor finish that would support the station’s challenging operational activity.
These awards recognise key members of the resin flooring manufacturer’s global team whose active collaboration between Flowcrete’s international companies and other RPM subsidiaries have added significant value to all the businesses involved.
The resin flooring specialists have reformulated three of its main industrial solutions to create this range. Flowcoat SF41, Flowshield SL 1000 and Flowshield SL have all been adapted to provide enhanced benefits to both end users and applicators.
This certification means that food and beverage producers operating a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) based food safety programme can specify flooring materials, safe in the knowledge that they will meet the relevant regulatory authority’s standards for safe procurement, production and processing as well as the requirements of the world’s leading quality and food safety standards.
The community project saw several local construction companies work together free of charge to build the crèche. Ocean Architects designed the new building and they in turn brought in Flowcrete South Africa, as the two companies have a history of successful partnerships.
