With the New Year Flowcrete SA welcomed on board the familiar face of Craig Blitenthall who has been appointed as their new Managing Director. Craig is no stranger to the South African business having previously been the Sales Director for 2 years prior to joining the Flowcrete International business in the Middle East.
Since Craig knows the Flowcrete organization and understands the South African market he was the best choice to fill the role. Having spent the last few years in the Middle East Craig has gained valuable international experience that will add tremendous value to Flowcrete SA. With him he also brings International best practices that are already being implemented into the business.
Craig has a working strategy currently in place in order to take Flowcrete SA to the next level in terms of growth and market share. He will be focusing on aggressive expansion into Africa and exploring that market extensively. Flowcrete SA currently has representation in seven countries in Africa; the plan is to increase this number to 13 in the next two years. Thus creating an impressive African footprint for the Flowcrete Group as a whole.
Locally improvements are being made at each of the sites in SA. The Durban site is expanding with extra warehouse and production space. A need for additional resources has been identified as part of the expansion plan which will come into effect in the coming months. The Johannesburg site has acquired new machinery that also fulfills part of the increased production planned.
