Flowcrete Africa Scales Up Operations to Meet Demand

- New warehouse and office facility in Durban also opened this year.
Flowcrete Africa has expanded its fleet of vehicles in the latest move to increase its production, storage and logistics network so as to meet an increasing demand for its high-performance resin flooring solutions.
A new four-ton truck has hit the road in Gauteng to deliver flooring materials to local construction projects. This is the first of three new vehicles in the pipeline, with one more planned for Gauteng and another for Durban within the next 12 months.
The trucks are able to carry at least six pallets worth of material and will enable the resin flooring manufacturer to more effectively transport its products and get them to customers faster than ever before. The trucks’ bright red and branded tarpaulin means that they are sure to stand out on the road and make a statement.
This comes as part of an integrated plan to scale up operations across South Africa in the face of a growing appetite in the market for its specialist flooring solutions. Recently this has also involved the opening of a new, larger warehouse and office facility in Durban earlier this year.
Based in Westmead, Durban the recently opened facility provides 1,240 m2 of space, which is a significant increase when compared to the previous 700 m2 warehouse. Including office space, the new site’s floor area totals 1,400 m2.
The trucks, warehouse and office form part of Flowcrete Africa’s ‘customer service centre’ policy, which puts the customer at the centre of the decision-making process and ensures that contractors, architects and end users are provided with the advice, systems and support when and where they need them.
